Scenic Air Ride Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Where are you located?
Our scenic air rides originate from our flight school locations at Austin Straubel International Airport in Green Bay and Sheboygan County Memorial Airport in Sheboygan.
How long are scenic air ride flights?
We recommend a 30-minute minimum, and the length of your flight is up to you. A length between 30 minutes and 1.5 hours works well, depending on how much you would like to see.
How much does it cost?
Rates are based on hourly aircraft rental rates plus the cost of pilot services (basic flight instruction rate). We bill to the tenth of the hour for the time the engine is running. See our rates page for a complete listing of aircraft.
Sample scenic air ride prices for the Cessna 172 or Cessna 175:
- 30 minutes: $77.50
- 1 hour: $155.00
- 1.5 hours: $232.50
Where will I fly?
Due to FAA regulations, our scenic air ride flights remain within 25 nautical miles (28.8 statute miles) of the starting airport and must return to the same airport for landing with no intermediate stops. You can let us know if there are specific landmarks you’d like to see.

What type of aircraft will I ride in?
You can ride in any of Jet Air’s rental aircraft (hourly rates, seating capacity, and weight restrictions vary). Our high-wing Cessna aircraft offer the best sightseeing opportunity. Please see our fleet page for pictures and more information.
May I bring a friend or family member?
Yes, if you take a scenic air ride in one of our four-seat airplanes, you’ll have the opportunity to bring up to two passengers along at no extra charge! Because each airplane has weight limitations, please inquire about passengers when you book your flight.
What are the height or weight restrictions?
We can accommodate most customers with the right combination of aircraft and pilot. Please check with us if you have any concerns.
May I take photos?
Yes! You may take photos at any time during your flight. Please let your pilot know if there is a specific location you’d like to photograph. Also, certain aircraft may be flown with a window open for higher quality photographs.
Are there any age restrictions?
No, although our scenic air rides are best suited for ages 4 and up. We have extra seat cushions available to help our younger customers get a great view. Passengers under age 18 will need permission from a parent or guardian.
Are reservations required?
Yes, please call ahead to schedule your scenic air ride. We can sometimes accommodate same-day requests. Scheduling a few days to a week ahead of time is best.
What if the weather is poor for flying on the day of my scheduled flight?
We will call you to reschedule the flight in case of inclement weather. You are also welcome to check with us by calling the office.
Do you fly in the winter?
Yes, we fly year-round and the aircraft have heaters. Please dress appropriately for the outside weather conditions.
Do you offer sunset flights?
Yes! We are available in the evenings for sunset flights.
Do you offer night flights?
Yes! Night flying offers an entirely different perspective and is especially interesting around December with holiday lights.
Do you offer flights over Lambeau Field?
Yes, except not on Packer game days. At other times, we can give you an excellent view of Lambeau Field!
